After yet another eventful period, nothing beats an end-of-year get together with amazing people, complemented with great music and exquisite food. The #TaggedBrunch is sure to deliver on all fronts – something the resident chef Nompumelelo Mdluli is certain of.

“We are going to load you up with yummy food,” Chef Mpume says. “We will prepare healthy food for the #TaggedBrunch, and dishes that will cater for vegetarians and vegans as well.”

No stone will be left unturned at the Pastel Paradise-themed event, set to feel like a friend’s beautifully tended garden party on 3 December. The Inanda Country Base in Kyalami is the perfect venue, with its scenic evergreen fields and neighbouring equestrian grounds.

The brunch is the perfect event to attend with close friends and lovers, just so you can relax and escape for a few hours. A wholesome menu is sure to whet anyone’s appetite, but none more so than one dish: the herb-crusted rack of lamb.

“We prepare it in the traditional method which makes it soft and juicy,” according to Mpume. Best enjoyed with a side of potato mashed and fresh asparagus, the infusion of sweet and savoury spices, will be paired with appetising drinks.

A self-proclaimed foodie, Chef Mpume prides herself on serving great food with friendly service. This is rooted in her love for what she does. “I’ve always loved cooking since I was very young… I’ve always believed in choosing my passion as a profession and that’s why I entered the catering industry.”

With welcome drinks in hand, jam to some tunes curated by LoveSlavePhola, who will kick off our foodies’ delight, which includes a dessert parlour. Supermodel Ponahalo Mojapelo will also call everyone to the dance floor with a vibey music selection.

What’s better than live music? Imagine being serenaded by Phakade Lami hitmaker Nomfundo Moh after enjoying a summer salad, couscous and a creamy butter chicken a prawn curry, with a glass of your favourite bev in hand.

By the time the food has settled and drinks have flowed, DJ Weza Nash will close the day out with amapiano hits to usher in the festive season.

Chef Mpume has only one desire after guests have enjoyed their food. “I hope people are happy and satisfied with our dishes.”
